After seven years of silence, an immiment break-up, the death of two friends (one, physically; the other, metaphorically) and a sense of political/social doom and despair, American Dream aims to portray the injustices and dance along them while preaching some great outcast anthems and songs that prove that it's "not that bad to be in your 40s". But despite its great premises and excellent standouts, the album as a whole cannot help but fall a bit listless and preciseless at parts. It would have benefited much more from itself if it had lasted ten or fifteen minutes less. Anyway, it's LCD, so the party started all over again.
