Who would have known that a compillation of tracks would have such a profound impact on me?


5. Sons Of Kemet - Your Queen Is A Reptile 

The most appealing set of wondrous jazz tracks that empower historical women and music as pure joy.


6. Superorganism - Superorganism 

A great surprise came from this unorthodox group with their splashy, effervescent pop.


7. Low - Double Negative 

The thickest, most engrossing and absorbing release of the year that juxtaposes void and spirit.


8. Parquet Courts - Wide Awake! 

A fun, entertaining and clever collection of tracks from a band that's cemented their status as groovy weirdos.

A return to form that shows that legend bands still have a freaking lot to say and do today.
