Score: 7.8
With grandiose execution, the newest album from progressive rock Japanese band Koenji Hyakkei evolves and deconstructs itself to form a malleable, operatic and highly theatrical realisation of modern times mixing tribal elements like voices, the itch and the pendular angles of the instruments and the sadistically out-of-tune melodies. A great example of just how diversity makes us all the more entertaining and entertained, and also a great addition to zeuhl music as a quirky method to approach experimental music.
