The debut album from the English riot grrrl band wears its influences on its sleeve but also knows how to tackle them and use them in pretty refreshing and inspiring ways. At times sweet and polished, at others aggressive and confrontational, Dream Wife (both the girls and their material) are always welcomingly rude and a heavy punch to bear in mind.
