The fourth album from Luis Vazquez is his most realized statement yet. There's a certain unpolishness and raw viscerality that makes the experience more challenging but at the same time more intriguing and rewarding. It's as if he's constantly letting his demons resurface and dominate his entire body to later set them free in a bleak, doomed world full of disdain, guilt and war. Criminal feels urgent, anxious, severe, hard-hitting but cathartic and, most importantly, sincere.
