Eden - Vertigo

Score: 6.1

Irish producer and singer-songwriter Jonathon Ng becomes a sensation with his debut album vertigo. It's fair to appreciate the glitchy, experimental details and overtures that most of the songs have but, for the most part, the record feels too lushed in its redundant coming-of-age, forceful revelations and corny life-affirming stanzas to be enjoyed with the same amount of energy from start to finish. It's weird (and a pity) to see that an artist who clearly understands the "less is more" technique in songs couldn't apply the same economy on the excessively long, excessively schmaltzy whole.

Tracks I like the most: Take Care, Start//End, Crash, Gold, Love; Not Wrong (Brave), Falling In Reverse
Tracks I like the least: Icarus, Forever//Over, Wonder
