The latest edition of DJ-Kicks brings the British duo Mount Kimbie to mix and shuffle some tracks and rhythms. Curiously enough, the artists seem to enjoy themselves and flow freely much more when it comes to dance-oriented house/technodrone music than with their usual chilly, mellow indie pop repertoire. This is a cohesive, effervescent trance electronic mixture of heavy synths, pummeling beats and bittersweet memories and sensations that keep you caught up for its modest running time.
