Viagra Boys - Street Worms

The debut full-length from Swedish band Viagra Boys fills in the category of this new wave of post-punk acts such as Idles or Parquet Courts, where adventurous, cinematic music and dense vocal un-harmonies dwelve to portray lyrics about toxic masculinity and young confusion. They guys over here take diverse stylistic approaches to concoct this, triumphing at almost every attempt and lingering on their saturated-yet-indulging sound. While not excellent, Street Worms surely opens up the path for a band that (hopefully) will do the talking in the years to come.
