After the hype from his EPs, the Canadian singer-songwriter and producer comes through with his debut full-length studio album and strikes with his melancholic wit, his injured charisma, his self-consciously high ego and the little-yet-effective/efficient details that push his R&B, neo-soul sounds a bit further into the leftfield and the self-indulgently attuned. The formula he uses might get a bit repetitive after seven or eight songs, but it still shines and awes all way long.
