The debut full-length album from A Beacon School is a surprisingly refreshing and reminiscent short record that indulges in nostalgia, psychedelia and dream-like atmospheres to deliver some cryptic, bittersweet pieces of indie twee pop. While the first part contains its widely recognised and successful singles, the second shows little hidden gems that go from cheerful pop to subdued bedroom rock. Cola is almost impressionist in its apparel, and a great starting point for a truly original mind.
