Playboi Carti - Die Lit

The debut studio album from rapper Playboi Carti is exhausting, both in length and in its simple toxicity. The formula of minimalist beats, heavy mixing and repetitive lyrics does function at first and at some glimpses, but it rapidly gets old-fashioned even within song to song. Guests help, mostly, but Die Lit relies and sleeps so well in its own comformity that it usually loses momentum and substance.
