Jungle - For Ever

After their relatively well-received breakthrough debut album in 2014, British ensemble Jungle comes back with a far more personal and introspective approach, melting R&B and soul with disco, funk, electronica and even gospel-like chants. There are some standout tracks that feel really groovy and pleasant to the ears, yet the majority of the songs are affably forgettable. But the worst problem for For Ever is its constant lack of cohesion, as if the band were trying too hard to hit the jackpot but instead consistently making holes on the wall nearby.
