The newest release from mysterious producer Lorn continues to develop the dark ambient take on electronic music that's made the artist grow a name for himself. Distancing each release further from the conventional electronic standards of even underground players, REMNANT aims at recapitulating an excursion to the abyss, with profoundly cerebral and menacing beats and soundscapes. It certainly adds up to his already vast discography but, taking his overall work as a capable producer, this record just stands in the middle of the road.
